I Heard They Suck LIVE...World Domination
Tour 2001

This page is dedicated to the rich and colorful history of the greatest band ever. And, yes, I know it's a long load.

The Rusty Zippers officially spawned Thursday, June 14, 2000, when, one afternoon, Stan suggested that he and Sean put on a concert. Practice began and the rest is history.

These are photos of Stan and Sean's dorm. The bed on the left was Stan's, the one by the window, Sean's. To the right, you have a close up of the counter. Note the Chinese food containers (to the left of the sink) from our Japan Tour several nights prior to the picture being taken.

Picture of Stan pretending to practice. In the background, you can see his fantastic blue shoes with the neon green shoelaces.

This photo is of the audience at our first show at MSA, which occurred Sunday, June 17, 2001, after the evening speaker. Note how only two people seem to be looking towards the front. Click HERE for a story.

Shot of the Rusty Zippers in action at their second performance, Sunday, June 24, 2001, after the evening speaker. Stan and Denis don't let flashbulbs faze them as they continue to sing like birds. "Come on, Barbie, let's go party!" they said. Yes, let's go party. No story for this one, folks, just good wholesome fun.

The concert is nearing conlcusion. Even though the laundry room was hotter than hot oven, the Rusty Zippers played on and Mickie continued his assault on the detergent dispenser. Peppy continues to be drenched with Sean's bodily fluids.

Lingering fans were rewarded with autographs and pictures with the band. Peppy waits patiently on Sean's guitar strap while Stan attempts to look thoughtful and Denis, glamorous. On the left, David Storey was actually doing laundry.

The Rusty Zippers pose for a group photo following their wildly successful second concert in the laundry room. Mickie can be seen raising his yo-yo segment while Peppy resides on Stan's guitar strap.

This photo is of the audience attending our third show at MSA, which occurred Thursday, June 28, 2001, also after the eveing speaker. Some of you may remember Sean and Stan running back towards Mark Twain as if they were being pursued by a child molester and shouting, "Rusty Zippers, basement, now!" Note Leland's pink sunglasses. Click HERE for a story.

Photo of the whole band in action at the third show in the Piano Room. Mickie, on the left is jamming on the bass while Sean, in the middle with a bandana on his forehead, is "breaking it down" on the guitar. Curiously, Stan has his hand up his shirt.

Here, Denis, Stan, and Manis make it explicitly clear that they "will survive".

Stan, Friday morning, June 29, 2001, all tuckered out after a long night of hardcore rustifying. Ladies, check out the cannons. You can check out his backside HERE.

The Rusty Zippers pose for one final group photo Friday evening, June 29, 2001. This photo followed an impromptu acapella performance and frolicking in the sprinklers on the Quad of MU. Once again, Sean avoids eye contact with the camera.

June 30, 2001, The Rusty Zippers' "I Heard They Suck Live: World Domination Tour 2001" officially comes to a close in Columbia, MO. Tour highlights include three shows, one birthday appearance, one impromptu acapella performance, and numerous public practice sessions. Next stop: Japan
